Wow-I feel like I’ve fallen off the “blog wagon!” I’m still here, and anxious to try to get back into the routine of posting more often.

Jayda participated in her second-annual horse show today. What fun it is to watch your “baby” do such grown-up activities!

Most of the time, I think of Jayda as being so big and grown up…I can’t believe she’s almost 5 1/2, and she is so tall for her age that she’s often asked if she’s older. But today, perched on top of those big horses, she looked so small!

We were so proud of her today. It was stifling hot inside the arena. It had rained too much to use the outdoor arena, so they were competing inside for over 2 hours. She was such a trooper, and I think she enjoyed every minute of it…despite the fact that her hair was wet with sweat when she took off her helmet! πŸ™‚

Each participant in her age group received a ribbon for each event…she got four ribbons in all. She also came in fist place in two of the fun games they did at the end, and she got some fun prizes for that. She was so excited!

Jayda, I hope you’ll read this someday. Daddy and I are so proud of you! You have such a love for animals, and we are so excited to see how you’ll use that passion as you grow older. We think you’d make an excellent veterinarian, and you keep talking about being a vet someday. Whatever you do, please know how much we love you and how proud we are to call you our daughter. As 1 Corinthians 10:31 says, “Whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.” We pray you’ll take this verse to heart. Continue following Jesus, sweet Jayda, and He will lead you and bless you in ways we can’t wait to witness. We love you!!!
